…Rosemary Clement Moore’s ‘Highway to Hell’, Texas has four seasons:

Hot. Humid. Horrible. Hellacious.

I think we may have reached the Hellacious season. Here in North Texas we boasted (or is it roasted?) at the temp with a heat index of 108 today.

It is so hot out there right now that, in less of a heartbeat, it can suck the energy right out of you.

Sooo… what to do on a day like that?

What do I love to do when the weather just won’t let me get outside? I find a place to hide away with a diet coke or french vanilla latte and read.

I just finished the Hunger Games and the sequel Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins and can’t wait for the last in the series Mockingjay that comes out Aug 24th.

Ally Carter has the awesome Gallagher Girls series and I’m right in the middle of the 4th book, Only the Good Spy Young.

Rosemary Clement Moore’s Hell Series.

Carrie Ryan’s Forest of Hands and Teeth.

Tina Ferraro’s The ABC’s of kissing boys. (I also liked her How To Hook a Hottie)

Sophie Jordan has a new Young Adult series coming out in Sept and it is about the Draki titled Firelight. So far the reviews have been totally awesome and I can’t wait for that one.

I love a good story that makes me fall in love with and pull for the characters through their journey to attain their goals and vanquish their conflicts.

Ah, so many books so little time!

What are some of your favorite books?
